WhatsinIt is designed with privacy in mind. We do not sell your data, we do not track you across apps, and we do not require account creation to use the App.
WhatsinIt collects minimal information to provide its core functionality:
WhatsinIt participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. When you tap "Find Alternatives," you may be directed to Amazon search results via an affiliate link using the tag cleanscan-20.
Clicking affiliate links does not cost you anything extra. We earn a small commission if you make a purchase, which helps keep the app free. Amazon's own privacy policy governs any activity on their platform.
All scan history and app preferences are stored locally on your device using Android's standard storage mechanisms. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.
We do not operate servers that store personal user data. Third-party services used by the App (Open Food Facts, Google Gemini) have their own privacy policies which govern the data they receive.
WhatsinIt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
